PowerMax+: Reset to factory default w/o master installer code? Discussion in 'Security Alarms' started by Christopher Grenness, Feb 27. The beta PowerMax I have had default pins near the phone connection however they deleted that later and it can only be defaulted in programming, my guess is he didn't screw up the download access code and.

All, I recently got a Visonic PowerMax Complete system installed via an authorised installer. After installation, he changed the user code to the code I wanted. I have been using the keyfobs to arm/disarm the system and never used the user code since the installation. Recently, I wanted to add a new keyfob and you require the user code to do this. The problem is I can't remember the code. I have tried all possible combination without luck. I might be able to get the installer code from the guy who installed this.

He can't remember what the user code was. Is there any way I can reset the user code using the key fob or installer code? The guy wants to charge £70 to come out and reset these codes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Vish.

Powermax+ Installer Guide

Hi All, Recently bought a house with this alarm installed. Worked fine and had no problems. Had some construction work being done and one of the sensors attached to the back door was thrown out by accident.

So the alarm won't arm now, because I presume it's seeing 1 zone as missing. Having looked at the manual and being unable to delete the removed zone. Is my only option to call out the installer and they use the Installer Mode to remove it? I don't want to have to disable the zone after every arm/disarm which I found is an option in the manual. Loosen the two screws located at the bottom of the panel. Remove the panel from its back plate.

Disconnect the battery. There are two left hand jumper pins marked DEF, fit a jumper across them. Reconnect the battery, then remove the link. If the system defaults, go into the user menu 1111, then scroll to installer mode, 9999. Refit the panel and turn back on the mains. You could default the system yourself.
