Easiest way is this. 1: Turn printer on. (Green light. Ready to print) 2: DISCONNECT the usb cable from the PC. 3 DELETE the Zebra LP2844 & Zdesigner drivers from the printers & Faxes folder.
Just highlight them and hit the delet key. Don't worry Iknow what I'm doing. 4: Plug in your USB cable back into PC. Just sit back and wait, your PC will automatically detect your printer and re-load your driver software. Send me the cheque now!! Posted on Dec 04, 2009.
Your printer has the older style 'Parallel Port' (IEEE1284) and Serial RS-232C. You should use the parallel cable to connect with your computer. If your PC does not have a parallel port, then you can either install one on an expansion card for about $10-15, or even easier you can get a converter cable which will allow you to plug right into your computer's USB port. Dec 05, 2010. It seems that Toshiba's latest driver for this device supports only Windows XP and Vista 32-bit. Here are the links: Manufacturers usually drop support for older devices after some time. Specially for printers and scanners the support is even more limited; most of them (if not all of them) offer warranty of one year. Your best shot is to try the Vista drivers.

For printing you shouldn't have problems. When you install the printer Windows have generic drivers for supported (current/older) devices. This driver should work for printing. For scanning you can try something like which is compatible with Windows 7. Toshiba devices are not in their list of compatible scanners, but you can never know.
